The International Symphony Orchestra, led by Music Director and Conductor Douglas A. Bianchi, has developed into a long-lasting performance and educational resource between London, Ontario, and Detroit, Michigan. It is the strongest regional orchestra and the longest-serving cross-border orchestra on the continent. We conduct business out of the ISObar, a performance space, a videography studio, a gallery, and an office, and we give performances at various locations around Canada and Michigan.

We are looking for a collaborative and innovative Marketing Coordinator and Office Admin to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a creative, detail-oriented, and tech-savvy skillset with a passion for staying current on marketing trends. Fluency with MailChimp Email Campaign, TicketSpice Online Ticket Sales, Elementor Website Updating, Canva, WordPress, and Microsoft Suites would be considered an asset.

  • You are primarily responsible for the support and execution of all marketing and communication initiatives, working closely with the media and our graphic artist. The role will be measured based on contribution to driving digital and online engagement with target audiences, as well as community engagement through hosted and sponsored events.
  • Managing closely our social platforms and staying engaged
  • Assist with content development for email newsletters, social media posts, and other promotional materials
  • Tracking ticket sales and managing subscribers’ needs
  • Execute a Marketing Plan for Summer Events and ISO 2023-23 Season

 

Also, as a Marketing Coordinator and Office Admin, you will report to the Executive Director, with responsibility for actively establishing and cultivating relationships with community partners to broaden ISO’s reach and grow our audience. You are a primary point of contact for the public and guarantee a positive experience for ISO’s patrons through ticket sales. You also build relationships with community organizations and collaborate with volunteers and partner sponsors. This position contributes to our mission of inspiring people through powerful orchestral performances.

  • Oversee office – managing needs of the office and act as a front line
  • Collaborate with the International Symphony Association, our community volunteer group, on special concert and fundraising projects
  • Help coordinate the ISO’s educational initiatives, including the El Sistema string instruction program in First Nations communities
  • Stepping in when required to assist the bookkeeper with general Admin duties
  • Plan, organize, and prepare for special events like concerts, parties, fundraising, and more
  • Implement and organize the company’s documents or contract
  • Prepare ticket sales reports
  • Work closely with Executive Director to develop policies, procedures, and guidelines
  • Answering phone calls and making ticket purchases via phone or walk-in
  • Informing the Director of urgent messages
  • Making sure the office is organized, systematic, and clean
